BackOrganic Rubber Cultivation (BUKOR): Increase Rubber Production

BThe success of the SRI Organic rice program was followed by the launch of the Organic Rubber Cultivation Program, which started in 2011 in the South Sumatra operational area. This program, popularly known as "BUKOR," is implemented through guidance on cultivation techniques, assistance with rubber seedling facilities, and support for business development in rubber farming. Additionally, it includes improvements in cultivation technology to increase productivity. The objectives of the BUKOR program are:

• Educating and facilitating farmers in understanding organic rubber cultivation techniques
• Encouraging farmers to produce Local Micro Organisms (MOL) and compost
• Recycling crop residues
• Reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers
• Reducing environmental pollution caused by chemical fertilizer use
• Promoting farmer independence
